New Volume of the Bulletin of the Asia Institute (Vol. 32) Now Available

The Yarshater Center for the Study of Iranian Literary Traditions at UCLA is privileged to continue the publication of the Bulletin of the Asia Institute beginning with Volume 32.

Spearheaded by Carol Altman Bromberg since the 1980s and serving as a foundational journal covering the multiple facets of the Iranian world and its synergies with the cultures of eastern, southern, central, and western Asia, as well as the Mediterranean, the Bulletin of the Asia Institute represents a scholarly tradition and standard of unparalleled quality. We are grateful to Editor Emerita Bromberg for entrusting the Bulletin to the Yarshater Center and its Director, Professor M. Rahim Shayegan, who now serves as editor.

While the publication of the Bulletin will be ascertained by the Yarshater Center, the University of California Press shall be providing the backbone for production and distribution. All print volumes, including the back catalog, will be available for purchase on the website of UC Press. Information regarding the publication of Volume 33 and beyond shall be forthcoming from both the Yarshater Center and UC Press.

Most importantly, the Yarshater Center is committed to the dissemination of all research gratis. The Bulletin shall be published simultaneously in high-quality print format and free Open Access, available to download via the websites of UC Press and the Yarshater Center. To maximize the scholarly impact of the Bulletin for generations to come, the back catalog of volumes shall also be included in an Open Access repository.

The Yarshater Center at UCLA is a leading research hub for the publication and dissemination of Iranian literary traditions worldwide, carrying on the legacy of an iconic scholar, the late Ehsan Yarshater. Thanks to the vision and generosity of the Persian Heritage Foundation, the Yarshater Center will have a momentous impact on the study of the Iranian world.
