Ehsan Yarshater Center for Iranian Studies at Columbia University Receives $10 Million Endowment

The Center for Iranian Studies at Columbia University has received a $10 million gift to formally endow the center.  Upon receiving this endowment, the center will be renamed as the Ehsan Yarshater Center for Iranian Studies to honor Professor Yarshater, the founding director of the center at Columbia University.  This gift from the Persian Heritage Foundation will allow for the continued advancement of Iranian Studies through the many publication series contributions of Columbia University, most notably the Encyclopædia Iranica.
