The J. Paul Getty Museum extends an invitation to their two-day symposium, “Palmyra and the East.” This event, co-organized by the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Palmyra Portrait Project (Aarhus University, Denmark), with support from the Carlsberg Foundation, seeks to address Palmyra’s links to the East through a study of art, architecture, religion, and society.
